can I cut off the exhaust manifold section from the inlet to fit extractors for an 1100?
IE and fit the remaining inlet section without issue - and bolt on the extractors?

I had that setup on a 998 for years with 3-1 extractors.

it depends on the brand and style of the extractors. the shape of them can sometimes mean that you break through into the inside of the inlet manifold to get the extractors to fit, obviously this is no good.

if you already have the extractors, get a spare standard cast manifold and grind away. then fit them up. If you can't do it without breaking through, you can then keep your original setup until you can afford/get time to buy a replacement inlet manifold.

cheers
michael
