Well you could either bolt it through the grille (with a piece of flat bar behind it and two small bolts through the holes) or put it on a removable chrome bar with other badges and only put it on the car when it's at show's or when you're showing off . Have a look on a lot of older classic cars and you'll see they often have a chrome bar between the headlights or across the grille for badges .

Thank's Allan .

A badge bar is like this ,

and you can buy clips like this on the right to fit the badge to the bar or bolt and clip like on the left to fit a badge directly to the grill .

Image

Personally I like the idea of the bar so you can keep it in the garage on display (and clean) and only put it on for shows etc .

Edited to make image work ...

Badge arrived safely today Allan , thankyou . Now will go and try the metal suppliers (and possibly bathroom fitting suppliers) in town and see if I can find some stainless tubing to make the badge bar ....

Allan , what sort of guarantee do you give that the new badge will look as good as the sports850 badge does now in 46 years

For those wondering it's just held to the grille with two short bolts and two "mudguard washers" from a supercheap pack behind the grille to spread the load .
