Any of you guys that subscribe received your mags yet? I haven't got mine. I could have bought it last Friday at Link. I would have thought that the idea of subscribing is so that you get it earlier than in the shops.

Not happy Jan

As an importer of magazines from around the world, I've come to realize that that is consistently not the case. Subs provide the publishers with up-front finance for the publication and guaranteed circulation....at least until everyone complains and then the subscriptions get shipped from a separate handling facility to the printers.

In the real world though, dealers and newsagents pay more than subscribers do, so they get it first. As a dealer, I demand it that way!

But then, it could just come down to Aust Post being slower to distribute the zines than the printers distribution company.

Hi folks. :)
I'm glad you are all keenly awaiting your next copy of the mag. We posted about half of the subs today, and the rest will go out tomorrow (Wed).
I must point out though, that the mag is nearly TWO WEEKS EARLY (due out 11 March). We had a trade stand at the Phillip Island Classic races on the weekend and I thought it was better to have a new mag, hot off the press, than one that was about to come off the shelves. So, we pulled out all stops to have it ready in time.
I don't think I've ever stated that subscribers would get their mags before they went on the shelf, but we will try to do that where it is practical. Basically, there are three reasons to subscribe.
1: Save money. $25 for four issues is $6.25 each, instead of $6.95 each - a saving of over 10%
2: Have it delivered to your door (or PO Box). A few people had trouble finding the first issue at their newsagents - so subscribe and don't miss out.
3: Automatic and free entry into the subscribers' prize draw in every issue. First issue's winners are in Tasmania and New South Wales. First prize in issue two is a limited edition wall poster of Mini art, a copy of the book about a trans-global Mini adventure and one of our unique Mini Experience caps - total value of $85

Yes, we have more ausmini members' cars in issue 2. If you want your car featured in issue 3, send us some info and we'll do the rest. Dani's car is first in line for the next issue and we have received a couple more over the past few days.

Website: www.autofan.com.au we have details of the mag and subscription forms.

Any more questions, complaints or suggestions, feel free to email me directly at [email protected] or PM me on ausmini.

Issue 3 is due out 10 JUNE (write it down)

Watto.

Hey there Watto,

I wont subscribe because I dont want the postie to bend the mag or leave it poking out of the mail box to get rained on. Is it at all possible to subscribe and pick up the mag. on my way through Leopold going to or from work?????

Cheers mate,
