The one set of Spax I bought many years ago I could not adjust to be the same.
So I vote GAZ.

Ive got a set of KONI's that are 2 race meeting old that are about to come out as I'm sick of no being able to adjust them without removing them !

Thats if you love them enough !..

I have never used GAZ but the Spax I have used were rubbish.
I have used Konis on a lot of things and found them to be great. I used to muck around with them a bit till I was happy and then leave them alone.

Im pretty happy with the Koni's too, But its the whole adjustment thing for wet & dry races............ It wouldn't be so bad if I did'nt have a fuel tank that had to come out to adjust the rears !.........

Could you cut the threads off the rear stub axles and tap them 3/8" UNF then use a Grade 8 bolt instead? (like we do when converting wet arms to dry).
Then no need to move the tanks... or undo the tops.

<edit> I like Konis too- I put 150,000 miles on a set of K Sports on my `69 Fiat 124 Sport, got them rebuild for $50 each by Proven Products then fitted them to my rebuilt `68 124 Sport.
OK so it was a while ago... but all Konis can be overhauled back to new condition.

Cos Gaz make mini subframes look like automotive pron.

That's all I got. I made my decision cos I liked the blue on gold of the Gaz...
I didn't have any useful intelligence for either...

Or just cut access hole like they did on the Works cars...

I like Spax..AVOs are supposed to be pretty good.

Cheers, Ian

I used to use Konis,,, love em to death,,, but now i use Gaz

:-)

I don`t like spax that much but there are plenty of other good shocks on the market these days,,, have a good look around before you buy, you might surprise yourself
