The thread was talking about twin SUs as in early H4 pairs...and no they don't have internal springs....

And for someone who wants people to cut straight to the chase....you have a long and winding method of arriving at fact you wish to express yourself Matt....(all in the best humor of course ;) )

I uderstand where Matt is coming from. I have seen postings on various subjects where someone is giving information that is misleading. They cannot be condemed for that as it may be what they only know, but when others also give the correct info or another point of view, some will "jump down their neck" for making a comment.I know what that is like.
Different methods suit different people to achieve the same outcome.

Another thing my father told me concerning things that others do and say,is
"never critisize or be-little someone else on what they have achieved. Ask relevant constructive questions, but until you achieve and improve on what they have done then you do not have the required experience to critisize.."

Have to agree here, then they have very little constructive information to give themselves in regards to the original question.

Very true David!

I have also noticed that some of the older people (not just on this forum and i'm not pointing fingers, just my point of view) tend to dismiss any of the information given by younger people who have been trained/taught in the automotive trade especially when it comes to vehicles that were built prior to their conception.

(Mick it is not directed at you.... you do frequent here often...and you are about the same age as me if im not mistaken)

Scott's refering to this.

http://www.ausmini.com/forums/viewtopic ... ne+rebuild

It is all about doing it right, using your own abilities. If you don't have the ability, then you pay someone else who has. If you don't have the money for labour, then you had better learn the ability or put your car on Ebay with everyone else who has been scared off mini ownership.

hey cool,,, all excellent responses,,, & yes we`re on the mark

& just for people who may think i was being picky or hypocritical,,, i only used the carby thread as an example of what "COULD" have happened,,, not meant to pick on anyone in that thread for typing incorrect info,,, tht`s actually why i used that thread, ,, it wasn`t because anyone stuffed up in that thread,,, i purposely left out a whole pile of threads which were riddled with miss-information just so no-one got their nose out of joint

You all do a wonderful job,,, really & truely,,, it was just getting to the point where i think something had to be said (again)

as i`ve said before,,, i`m no legend at this stuff myself,,, we`re all always learning till we die & i just want to make it clear that i don`t hold myself upo on any peddestle above anyone else, i just like helping out with what i know & what i`ve done,,, sharing the goodness with you all :-)

& Jess,,, maybe you should become an English teacher :-)
