Continued getting the 1100 engine in, and various associated bit's and pieces. Got most of it done today. Still need to do a few more things before it is ready to fire up.

Only a couple of small jobs. Fitted a new washer bottle and relocated my spotties to comply with the regulations.

Bought 15 Litres of degreaser for the parts washer and started to clean the Cooper S engine and parts.
Dropped the crankshaft off for a check at Mini Classic and a possible regrind and visited GR in his Aladdins cave to talk about camshaft grinds.

Drained out the old Castrol Edge 25W/50 and put in KMX 20W/50. It's winter.... (brrrrrrrr).
Charge light was on dimly so I changed the V regulator inside the 17ACR alternator. All good now, has nearly 14V with the lights on. :D

I had to touch it  Been rubbing back the engine bay after Por15 and a number of coats of Enamal. I had already polished the fire wall to bling but I could still see Orange Peal so started running it back further. where are these white flects comming from, all over it. I think it was from one of the cheaper rattle cans I used.
Why did I touch it

Pumped up the suspension using SGC's hydro pump... after I discovered that my grease gun had a leak and all the hydro fluid from the car squirted out all over me.

Took the car for a drive around the block, retorqued everything up, adjusted the toe out. Now all I have to do is try and correct the torque steer.... I mean suspension and steering geometry and get used to the induction noise.

I looked at my two today in the garage still covered in mud from the Mini Nationals last weekend.

Maybe if I keep looking long enough the mud might fall off by itself.........

Actually did this on Saturday. Fitted new bonnet stay and alloy door levers and window winders. Also did some touch ups around the dash ready to puy in dash liners and installed alloy sill plates.....looking good.
