Disc Brakes got a bit of rust on them. they were like new before recond.

what should i do? can i just run them & the light surface rust will go when braking?

can i clean them up on the car?

Just drive it. If it's really bad, you can get it machined, but if it's light surface stuff, it'll soon rub off.

Or if you're after a way to stop the rust that looks a bit different, you could always paint the rotors........

The heat will melt the paint, so it'll get onto the pads too. Braking will be lousy. If you don't hit something first from lack of brakes.

Hey, after the reply I got to my first post, I decided to hold back my 2nd recommendation of giving the disc brakes a good dose of silicone spray as a way of keeping the rust off them. If it was BIAM, he would have simply quietly PM'ed that advice......

BTW, more pictures of the "You're doing it WRONG"....

If you leave the front brake pads out, the paint will last a lot longer.
