its gotta be a thing with sisters, my sis has a 92 ford festiva and she keeps tellin me that this light comes on when she dirves it, checked it out and it was bone dry, one night while loading the bike into my van she started her car and i heard a grinding/ whineing noise so i got her to pop the bonet and her fan belt was just screaming, lubed it up and she went off her nut at me askin what i did to her engine, cause she didnt have that noise any more she couldnt tell if the engin was running when she stoped at lights, she drove up about 50 ft and stuck her head out of the window to see if she could still hear it

there was a girl who had a mini
and it kept leaking oil
so she just stopped filling it up with oil

no more oil leak

1. i can understand how Antons car had no oil in it
2. why did all those other girls' cars have no oil left? (leaked 3L worth)?

QUESTION: New car Auto Boxes need oil pressure to work (I've been told)
no oil = no work

would that be the case with the matic boxes?

Er... yeah, if the oil gets too low on these it will get air in it and the shifts will get all erratic. MiniMatic's low oil early warning system.

ps. if it gets real low you will go nowhere... and bugger the bearings if you try!

I worked with a guy who built a Falcon GT replica. It had a heavily worked 351 under the hood (or bonnet :P ).

He lived up the coast.....one afternoon he rear ended a car heading home. It split his radiator and he lost all the coolant. He said 'fook it' and just kept driving......110km/h on the freeway - no coolant..... motor ceased!!

This guy had no respect for money.....he had the car towed home....left it to rot in his backyard....and I am talking about a really nice Gun Metal Grey GT replica, drop tank, 351, top loader 4-spd, polished roll cage, shaker etc....

But hey...it's a Ford, so who cares....
