Hello All, We have our brick on it side all cleaned up, needing advice whether to spray/hand paint or spray with body deadener?? Cheers Stu

if its bare metal put a coat of etch primer down, then seal your seams, put on some body deadener and spray whatever colour you like over that, should seal it up good

I have done what the others have said. Be mindful that some of the deadners can be painted over and some can't. PM me your details and I can come and have a look. I have the shultz gun that you can borrow and give some tips etc.

The original deadener was very thick, is it possible to get a product that will lay on as thick as the this?

and it was hard as concrete when set. Stuff i used on my Moke was soft as putty for ages. Seems the quality of the material & application method are both important.

Made it Josh. About $250 from memory. A little modified since these pictures were taken - now has pin locks for different positions.

Back under the house since the car is almost complete - so if you need to borrow?

I use K&H water based C guard. Good all rounder, easy to apply, the gun washes out with water, and the more layers you apply, the thicker it gets.
