Aaron, would be interested to know when you have any shows in NSW. Never seem to hear about them.

There are three we attend each year, The club holds one trophy presentation show and shine at gannons park in the later part of the year. we get a couple of guys from victoria,(the guys with the 5 speed rovers) I will make sure you know about it early if you like. The other two, one which you already attend, motorex is a club stand and not really a show and shine, but the club tries to show different cars each year. and the other is the issigonisis bday bash at the end of the year, we attend that each year as a club. organised by the morris minor club. But the main one is gannons park, the club is invited by the rotary club to there yearly charity event, we hold a display/show and shine along with other clubs. But the show and shine is for the mini's(and Derivitives) There are photo's on the website of that one. I should really call it a show and shine shouldn't i...

The club also attends a bunch of static displays throught the year as well.
Not sure why you havn't heard anything. There isn't alot of them until after motorex if i remember correctly. The last two just gone, where NRMA australia day and the CMC presidents picnic.

Cheers

Aaron

Have your forgotten Minis on the Murray as a multi state/territory event!

yeah, I did forget that, but there isn't cams sanctioned fanging minis in dirt on minis on the murray.... just afternoon tea on the grass and a leisurely cruise.... yawn..... (watch Jan beat the crap out of me now!)

sorry for forgetting ACT, and members from any other state/territory/region/whatever who may want to come too

I stay in my tent at Hay Plains caravan park, I usually book a few days before I go, this year I'll probably be in my cooper and I'll sit the khanas out, depends if when I start stripping the van...

Well you right there skssgn. There isn't any motorsport events at Minis On The Murray. However, not everyone has a mini they can use for this or is interested in that type of event.

I personally wouldn't do a motorkhana in any of my minis. I don't have one that is disposable should anything happen to it while doing this sport.

I need my everyday driver so I couldn't use that.

Each to their own. Yes, Hay may be a great event (haven't ever been), but there is no harm in having an alternative.

And I don't see any need to "beat the crap out of you". I have an open mind and am happy for everyone to do their own thing.

Hi Guys - I am contemplating my first Hay run so where is the best place to stay - I think a tent will be the abode of choice. It is a good 5 hour drive there from here(ACT) but looking forward to hooking up with you all. How many of the NSW MCC are coming through - would love to follow you guys down(and with the other ACT club members - maybe pick up the riverina mob on the way through Wagga??)

Hi Rob,

Yes, make the bold step and get to Hay. The event can be a little bit of an unknown if you haven't spoken with someone who's been.
We've had a few ACT Mini enthusiast make the trip over the years. This will be my 14th Mini Nationals in a row and my husbands 20th.
NSW MCC have around 70 - 80 members going this year and the majority traveling to Hay on the Friday of the long weekend. We usually roll into the Wagga Wagga Maccas around 11.30am for the traditional lunch stop. Then it's non-stop to Hay for the for partying to start.
If you want to hook up with us along the way you're more than welcome.
The majority of the NSW club are staying at the Cobb Inlander Motel but there are plenty of alternatives including caravan/camping/other motels etc.
Here is a list of the accomodation on offer in Hay but be warned that places to stay fill up fast for the June long weekend. Not only is there 100's of Mini folk there but there is also a large lawn bowls comp in town at the same time.

I was just teasing Jan, I know not everyone is into motorsport - I like to do everything that involves driving my minis - and I khana and sprint my daily driver, but I can pinch my wife's car if I break something - just means I have to take #1 daughter to school in the morning and have a late start at work, and organise someone to pick her up in the arvo

Didn't want to overwhelm people with not only the bowlers in town but the Vanguard clubs as well. Who'll ever forget their street parade at 9.30pm!
Wayne is still working on a 'piece of gear' for us to take to Hay, an 1100 beast. Still need to find a trailer to take.

Julie..............
P.S We've been in 'training' for Hay as well, but the short time training goal is Thailand in just over 2 weeks. Another Bourbon please.......

So is Penny driving the S???

It'll be a slow trip to Hay for us towing the Min behind the Lux..........will have to retro fit the movie screens in it for the kids big and small.

I think I'll leave the Hay's Heroes to Wayne.
