Wouldn't put it in his Rover. Just had it re-sprayed. Looks fantastic.

Just use the Mayfair as his everyday runner.

And by had, you mean:
a. You don't want it now you know it needs rust repair and a respray
b. You figure me getting a first mini is more of a milestone than your eighth (?)
c. What you are willing to pay and what I am willing to pay might be completely different.
d. The owners other car is an integra type r and the mini might be thrashed.
e. You found a use for the deluxe (eg, drop in an EFI auto)
f. All of the above.

None of the above. John just happened to mention that he would like an auto for daily travel to work.

Haven't had a look at the car.

It doesn't seem a bad price.

It is important you get a mini though.
