it's a bloody cracked head! (or possibly warped... either way i have to pull it apart again)

took 10 HOURS to change the head gasket last weekend (didn't bother me, just relaxed and took my time. no worries) and was sweet for a couple of days, but now i'm back to the way it was. mayo in the oil filler car, puffing white, takes a little while to get going (which isn't cool when you leave for work before the sun gets up...)

who knows where you can get one of those black monotorque gaskets? supercheap told me they don't stock them, and i couldn't get one from Burson's either. net search time!

Either Karcraft in Sydney or Minisport in Adelaide. Both accept credit cards over the phone.

Mini supply people in melbourne may have one as well.

Scott doesn't mind.

He's a giver, not a receiver.

froth in the oil cap is just your bloody cold melbourne weather. Condensation.

Start worrying if its around your rockers. Whats the oil on dipstick look like.

White smoke is steam, again could be condensation. Depends how bloody cold its been down in Smelbourne.

And if you want a bandaid fix get 'silverseal' from repco too. It might block your radiator tho if its at all dirty.

I removed a cracked head once and left it sitting for bout 5 years till the other modded head burnt a valve and i had too use it as a back up, the surface rust which grew over that time sealed it up, no more oil residue in the water

I need coffee to fire up the second cylinder, and then another coffee to fire up the third. And depending on the day, the fourth one just kicks in or i go back to the coffee.
