Hi,

Is anyone in the Newcastle area willing to store a non-running Mini for three to six months? It doesn't have to be under cover.

I've got my eye on a car, but I'm expecting a baby any day now, so I won't have a chance to drive up with my trailer and collect it.

Alternatively:

- If anyone is headed from Newcastle to Melbourne with an empty car trailer, OR
- If anyone wants to borrow my trailer to transport a car to Newcastle themselves, and bring this one back for me,

PM me! :)

Thanks,

I see that your in a bit of a difficult position and possibly not a lot of spare $$ at the moment, with bub on the way and all that (congatulations on that).

However have you looked on the web for car transport companies. Most won't do a non-runner but there are some that will do 'dead' cars and they're insured. I recently had a dead moke bought down from brissy for about $140.00.

Just a thought if nothing else comes through.

Who did you use GT? Brett and I had an 'interesting' experience with the only company that I could find that would transport my non-running Traveller from Sydney to Melbourne a couple of years ago.

I've tried to contact that company today.

The website is down.

The phone is not answering.

A quick google shows ASIC have deregistered the company four weeks ago.

I think it's safe to say they are no longer trading!

I dont know if you have ever tried CEVA logistics, but I have never had trouble with them and they moved a dead car for me once, quite reasonably priced.

I offered a similar thing for someone from Adelaide once (non-mini related). Two years later his uncle finally came to collect the stuff. Not suggesting your a "Gunna" Brett, but you do need to be aware sometimes.

I am three hours west of Newcastle - I have enough room to store a car for you if you can have it transpoted to here etc.

Damn - I MUST learn to reread BEFORE I hit submit. Product of being in three or four entirely different forums at the same time.
