Hi,

Does anyone have a picture of a Cooper S Mk2 aussie speedo?

Thanks

Dash & speedo look nice but why are the indicator lights up the top, rather than down the bottom like every other mk 2 dash?

I'm pretty sure the last Mini K I had had a dash exactly like that one (albeit with a 90mph speedo), with the indicators up top.

My current K has a '60s burr walnut timber dash, and the indicators are in the same place above the speedo.

They all had the indicators down the bottom when built.
I'd say someone has done this for better visibility. The RH one hides behind the steering wheel on my 1970 Matic.

Yeah you're right they are the "wrong" way. I hadn't noticed that before, although it doesn't matter much to me as it is just a picture I had.

This binnacle must have been undrilled for this to happen. The binnacle will only go into the car one way around (wont it :?: ) and there are no patched up holes down the bottom.

Steve

Is it one of those aftermarket non-genuine ones that comes without holes?

Probably is a UK binnacle, they never had the lights.

I went to buy an aftermarket one myself but ended up rejecting it as it didn't have the 2 vertical impressions in the plastic. So who knows where it is from?
