Loved minis since the 60's when my grandmother bought her fisrt mini (a '62 850) which she later traded on a 78 Devil yellow S
Another rello rekindled my interest in the late 70s when he bought a Mk 1 cooper 's'. I just had to have one. Kept it for a couple of years. Was then mini-less until '98 when I bought the one I have now.

It might be interesting to run a poll to see how long people have been into Minis. Nearly everybody above (no matter the age) has been into minis for many years.

My first drive of a car was in an ex rally turn paddock basher mini with only the handbrake for stopping.
I can't remember any of the details of the mini except that it was a round nose with wind down windows but I do remember ripping the windscreen wipers off it when I slide off the bonnet while a mate was doing reverse donuts.
Happy days. :P

My dad had one when he was younger, so I always saw the old polaroids of his white Cooper S, plus the Mini Ha-Ha he had on his shelf.

Had an interest in them forever, and then once I left home and was still stupid I had the chance to buy one with money I didn't have.

I can't remember when I got my first, but I think it was 2002, so I started when I was 19 or 20.
