Anton, thanks for the offer, have organised to get a
reco short motor from mini spares @ seven hills, so i
know that i will have a good motor in my daily driver and
i will know the history (i.e i will make it as it will be fresh!! )
looking at vivians motor it is already 40thou over and holy
f$%# you should see the massive scores out of the bore, BIG!!
my block is only fit to be used as a anchor now Doc but i love
my 998's after vivian, and putting a 1275 to me is great but not
practicle $ wise, (i have 2 if i wanted to do the disc brake thing,
but nah...)

so im excited about my new motor, a few secret mods by me here and
there will keep crappy round noses away (read Mo is eating my
dust next time Iwannamini) and cant wait for somehtin different, all
reasonable cost for poor me!!

What head did Viv have in her? Was it a standard 998 SMOG head?

I measured JAM's bores tonight. Virgin!! I will measure my second 998 tomorrow...I reckon that one is oversize.

well peoples how exciting, i am getting vivians rebuilt
motor back tomorow afternoon, (well block and g'box
well put all the rest together at home!) and i am so excited
cos that means in about a week, i will have my girl back on
the road again, and not only that, she will be better than
she was before, now having a new gearbox
and slightly modified motor.....so EXCITMENT......cant
wait for the next cruise....

(btw, withh all the excitement have neglected both Elmo and
:lizzie for about three weeks, havnt touched either
