Rego was transferred 8months ago, just finished building it and is now selling it? Engineer didn't pass it perhaps?

I would love to see one engineered here

We have a single-page on it. I'm not making any comment on its legality and he claims he is selling it because he has spent $42,000 on it so far and has simply run out of money.

I would suggest, and do so in the article, that anyone interested in it seek the professional opinion of an engineer about legalities of registering it in their state before buying.

The mag will be out in mid-June, and features a whole raft of alternative engine options.

A couple of Ausmini members' cars featured as well.

Cheers,
Watto.

Kenno, minus VAT (circa 17%).

Josh - Unengineered - He's not alone. I'm sure there are a few cars driven around Sydney without approved modifications...

The owner says that he has been to an engineer who says the car needs about $3,000 more spent on it to pass for rego.

I know you're likely only repeating what was told to you but you could take two things from a statement like that:

1. Owner - $3k? Seems odd. How would one estimate $3k? Parts? Labour? Brown Paper bag?

or

2. There is an engineer out there who is prepared to certify one!

Yes, like I said, I'm not making comment on the legality or otherwise, just passing on the info that the car is out there.

The whole point of the features in this next magazine is to show some of what has been done, without passing judgement on whether this is a good or bad thing.

The bike-engined Mini is merely one concept, and is included for people's interest. The information on the car was provided to me, and I am in no position to judge it.

Cheers,
Watto.
