I went and had a look at some minis and this one was amongst them. I've no intention of getting it but am confused by it. Now my understanding there was no automatic clubmans built.

Also Yg2S7 is a mini clubman with remote change. Now this has the hole for the magic wand/pudding stirrer thing.

There was no motor in it and apart from this is just looked like a normal clubby.

Ive never had a look at a mini matic gear extention but to me this plate and setup looks like something BLA could have done??

Someone tell me if somebody has bodged it??

Sorry about the photo's they were done with my phone

There is a plate pop rivetted on under that gear selector, covering the hole for the remote.
Real `Matics did not have this.. I'd say it's a ringer.

[edit] That's how I put a `Matic into my `76 Clubby too.

I sold a good Rover auto frame but I'm really chasing an Aussie one. Or a whole Mini Matic that needs work.

its a clubman, and the car has some rust but restorable. Sorry i dont know what sort of subframe it has, but the engine was gone. As doc says it could be bodgied. It is at forbes wreckers which is nearly an hour away from me, i just happened to be there that day for work

I was really looking for something i was after or parts but they didnt really have anything i was after, but they have other cars as well.
* 77 clubman complete with pollution gear engine with the smoghead pipes but missing the air pump and drivers side guard (possibly a small amount of interior)(yellow)
* matching numbers 1964 mini 850 (got rust) had some reg freck material in it (only good bit left was the rear of the back seat which was torn a bit) complete(white one in back corner)
*1970 mini K, complete, i would think it was the correct motor 10y. well and truly restorable (white one with bonnet up)
* mini delux shell only (not in shot)
*Another leyland/clubman (i dont think i looked at it)(brown one)

Heres another pic from my phone:
