Does anyone know if it is bad luck to change the name of a car, I named my car when i got it but as the work continues and plans change the name doesnt suit it anymore. I have changed the theme and I want to keep the name giovani for a roundnose project which will get the theme i planned for the clubby. Mind you a round nose is a few yrs off.

So have your say, do I change it or not?

Cheers

You know that it is bad luck to change the name of a ship - if you do they sink.

So as long as you don't plan on driving it across a lake you should be fine

Cheers Dat

How would you feel after being named "Abe" for 30 years to have a young whipper snapper come along and rename you "pops"? It's downright rude!

Definitely dont change it. I am with Bromley. If you dont like the name, get another one..!!

Build up a family of nicely named vehicles.

Your cars name is its personality, so you can always just change the look/feel of the car to match the name. I was lucky. Mo could be anything.. an old restored, a pulled apart 4WD V8 powered beast or a plain jane ricer with all looks and a little go...!!

Change the name....really what does it matter :?

Example..You buy a pink mini, its been called pansy by the lady owner whom you just bought it off. Now, youve just built a dirty street mini that tears the pants off a behemoth...do you still want it named pansy, i think not.

Change it..bad luck is bollocks 8)

lol...good point..it would be somewhat ironic.

You know what I mean though......you evolve a name to the car, not a car to the name. Thats just dumb
