Chris, it's just a rodchange box with an early 1100S motor put on. These had a small journal crank, & S rods.
His other motor was the same type, but crank was good and bore std 1275.

No worries, i figure I owe you at least a few

I had heaps of fun! learnt a thing or two. Most importantly if I didn't pull the engine apart to find out the inards I'd probably not be able to sleep for the rest of the week before I took it apart next weekend!

Pops is number one, Brad's car is number two. But we all know which car I really like best! I'll give you a hint, I am building Lillee to be almost exactly the same as this car! Tis my first love! I said that "I want one" when I first had a ride in it many moons ago and I still want it today! Pops and Brad's beast won't change that.

No prizes for guessing which car I am talking about

[EDIT] Can I just talk about brad's beast for alittle while? I had the honour and privledge of riding in it TWICE this weekend. *@&%#! it's a BEAST! OMG I nearly had to go have a change of undies after a ride in that thing, and he didn't even turn up the boost that far!!! It's a ballistic missile!

I said to brad "God I am glad that you're driving it and not some P plater (Probably get flamed for that comment) but it's true! That Golden Bullet of his is one heck of a car!!!

ok I've said my piece...

Repco used to weld them up (30 years ago) with an automatic process then grind them back. I used to get VW ones done.
Probably easier to go find another. But hey, it's not cracked!!
ps. it's only a small journal one, so can't just grind it down.

I have had them hard chromed and ground. Worked well.

This one is past it.. journal is not just worn, it's gouged out big time, the cheeks each side are gouged too..
Make a good doorstop.

Well least Kevin B made use of the crank key  I wasn't counting on it being useful... It would make a really good doorstop
