Yes, the 1227808 Camira Delco ECU(Same as VN/Astra also), with the 4cyl memcal(JE Camira). I think I still have a loom and ECU etc at home somewhere for when I can convince my dad to change over to EFI on his mini

I used the Camira MAP sensor, Throttlebody (Idle valve incoporated), IAT, 2-off the 4 camira injectors, modified camira rail, camira FPR, Camira Ignition trigger (triggered from the modified Honda Dizzy with it's vacuum advance removed and mechanical advance locked) and the camira coolant temp sensor.

At that point I didn't run the Oxy sensor, but with modern fuels I'd probably go to the effort of fitting one to the system.

My manifold was pretty much some RHS with two bellmouthed 180deg mandrel bends feeding it as can be seen, it was very neat and compact.

As for tuning, I didn't get a chance to burn soem new EPROMS for it, but had all the software and actually had it interfacing with the laptop for sensor inputs etc. Winbin comes to mind. I did change curves/graphs etc but never had a chance to burn them...

I did however have a couple of POTS providing rough and fine adjsutment of the MAP signal output before the ECU. I could change the mixtures from very rich to very lean by this method.

The car never ran better to be honest, I could easily rev the engine past 6500rpm for a std 1100 and 998 both with 104 cams.

Cold start worked and the engine started and idled smack bang on smoothly every time... How many mini's have you see do that

I did some minor engine changes, ie LCB extractors, you need to run a return fuel line, fabricate a swirl pot, have a couple of FP's etc.

came from here...

Ha, looks like what I was working on 5 years ago. I also had delco injection but from a Pulsar.

I was working on torque so I went for the longest runners possible. Had flanges to take top off to get to injectors. I still have this entire project in a box if anyone is interested.

Don't get too excited guys. Remember I said I was under-skilled for the job.

I learnt a lot, like:
My welds from my gasless MIG were porous so when this was sand plasted then coated, it didn't end up being totally air tight. needs welds patched in one or two places.

My home-made injector bosses have holes that are very slightly too big for a 14mm injector o-ring. I had planned to drill them larger and bush them back down to the right size. Or fit over sized o-rings.

I learnt that those stainless steel fuel rails are brazed and when you cut them up and try to get them TIG welded, there are micro-cracks in the welds that piss fuel out at high velocity onto the exhaust. need to start again with another pulsar rail and braze it this time, no TIG.

When you have a thin throttle body flange and it warps slightly when welding, it doesn't end up flat. it is just enough to make the throttle body distort and the butterfly a but sticky. Solved with a cork gasket and nyloc nuts.

So, this is NOT a bolt on but a start. I even have spares of the laser-cut flanges so you could just copy it or even get a better one made in alloy or stainless.

Therefore, it is cheap!!! I'm not selling the new injectors I bought but everything else can be yours if you are interested.

Hell, If anyone is good at making stuff, I'll send you the 3D Inventor files for beer money!!

Make me an offer. If anyone is really interested, I could bring this along to the muster and display it.

M

It's a shame you didn't push on with it, Mokesta. You were probably over half way there.

That was when the boy was born, then I had to do the big end bearings on the Moke, then there was the house extension, then the girl was born, then it was the MX5 track day car which needed wheels, sways, springs, rollbar, etc. then we sold the renovated house and bought the one with the big yard that needed renovation, then the shed got built and now I am almost ready to do stuff again.....

And I've bought a cross-flow head.

:D

PS. Empty in-box...
