Check your castor, measure from front wheel centre cap to the rear wheel centre cap, then do it on another mini.... If there close ur ok,if not I'd say you have the front hubs pulled too far forward.....creating a longer wheelbase.I can measure my car tomorrow arvo for you if u wish. I'm running 12x5superlites and fallen tyres with STD drums

Cheers

Get that measurement Cam! My tyres are rubbing on the guards too, worse on one side.
First thing I'm going to do is put a shim between the body and subframe to pull the guard forward a bit, then I'll wind the tie bars back if I can.
:D

I was having similar problems, rubbed even entering servo driveways or going around corners then realized the front bump stops had been removed when front shocks were fitted.

So check they are there and in good nick.

I fitted the standard ones that are bullet shaped. Glad I did because the Hydro collapsed shortly after putting new ones on but I was still able to drive (slowly) the car to the mechanic without it rubbing even with the car looking like this...

Yes, the full weight of the right side of the car is on the bump stops (hydro - all the fluid leaked out) and it was still drivable.

I have these on the front...

and these at the rear.

But if you are on dry suspension you may need to use something different.

If you have good bump stops fitted and they still rub then I guess in your case the 12 wheels inch plus tyres must have a slightly greater total diameter than 10's.

(I thought 12 inch wheels/tyres ended up the same diameter as 10's??)

I run 38+, usually 40psi have a set of 10's and 12's handles very well ride is still plenty soft enough. Both on rubber cones.

The normal setup was designed to be driven the the nearest service centre should all the fluid escape. BTDT - I think they recommended a maximum of 30 mph...

Cheers, ian
