Fixed up Lockie's spare Clubby wiper motor. Only 1 speed was working and it wouldn't park.
1 brush was broken, and the slip ring was rusted away as usual.

adjusted the front RH hi low one flat higher to compensate for the fat driver when he's onboard

greased all the nipples front and rear. replaced the shifter bushes. rattle is gone woohoo!

played with the progression circuit on the weber is there is hesitation on light throttle in traffic. decided it may be caused by the air bleed screws being open all the way, closed them and reset the idle mixture and idle speed. changed the idle jets from 58's to a 50. hesitation almost gone. woohoo!

cleaned the old girl and gave her a coat of wax. looking forward to the comming events.

Just for sh!ts and giggles I took the 45DHLA off the 1412 and bunged the GR modded HS6 on. Manifold is now a Minispares with 20mm spacer to replace the RE7 one.
OA6 needle, turned the key, Vroom! away she went. Same carby, needle and jet height was used when dynoed 3 years ago.

It goes VROOM VROOM in the garage.
If the builder ever gets his truck out of my driveway, I'll let you know!!

[edit] OK I drove it to Karcraft and back.
It cruises nice, is quieter, still goes fairly hard if you really get up it. But it doesn't have the instant throttle response of the 45 Dellorto.
All in all it's now a bit girly, but I designed it this way (for the missus' van). 8)

Doc are you going to hook up the manifold into the cooling system or leave it as it is?

grrrr, naughty mini

lots of people on here have experience with headlight issues, and how to solve them. Explain your problem in a new topic and you'll get some useful suggestions

Hi-Lo's now on all corners, Dive shafts stripped ,cleaned and new rubber boots fitted - waiting now for new CVs before refitting. Bought new stands for the Mini - Supercrap had some on special - the ones I've been using I made as corner props for a caravan - good size for the Landcruiser when I had it - bit on the large size for the Mini

Wow - makes what I did today pretty insignificant! hehe.

Bought 2 new 1:72 vans, put on a new window winder, identified each of the new rubbers which came with the car, put in a new window seal (top of door), removed my old boot seal, and cleaned up the inside of the car ready to take out the dash tomorrow!

Tomorrow - new speedo cable, new dash globes, new fuel float (all c/-MiniSport).

Here in NSW I'll leave it unheated. If I lived in Tassie, I would hook it up.

Did free air calibration of wideband O2 sensor, was out of calibration.

Adjusted HIF44 (running to rich).

Went for a drive while logging AFR, MAP and RPM.

Fitted Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) and bracket to HIF44. It wouldn't fit on the side where the manufacturer said it should as accelerator bracket was in the way, so I put it on the other side... fitted well. 8)

Dumped the oil and filter from the moke.
Went to fit the new filter I ordered only to find it's the wrong type.
My own fault, I just assumed that the 1275 export moke motor would have used a cooper/850 type filter.
