I was acting as the enemy party for an exercise at Singleton a few years ago. Between our instructor and student sites was a 100m wide piece of land we had to share with the 113 boys doing nav exercises.

I remember being suitable impressed as we watched them simply push over any errant trees, saplings, or anything else foolish enough to be in their way.

A few nights later, while we are crawling towards the students camp, we could hear the 113's rumbling in the distance. We paused, waited. Yep, they were coming closer. Remembering the trees from the previous encounter, and the extemely limitied vision of the driver, we bravely decided to become non-tactical very quickly, set off flares and run like hell.

About 1 minute later, 6 of the buggers came absolutely flying through. Even if they had of seen us, they had no way of stopping in time.

Yes, they are cool, but be somewhere else.......

A few weeks ago I had my assessment day to join the army, going for the armoured corps.
Basically I had to sum up all of the awesomeness of blowing stuff up, driving around in a lot of tons of metal and terrifying everyone, and say it while sounding sane. Its a very hard thing to do lol.
