I mounted mine under the drivers front guard just under the air vent tube.

i mounted mine first where the heater fresh air vent would sit on the firewall.

i have since moved it to engine bay wall clutch side.

both worked well & both keep it out of dirt & water.

ill upload a photo when i can take one for you tomorrow.

You seem wrapped with your new winch.
Can feel the excitement across all threads

I've had one on my mitirbike for years and they're quite weatherproof. I'd just make sure the hire faces in such a way as water doesn't collect in it. They are superb wee things which make a really loud honk. I have to buy two moe, one for the clubman estate and another for the Volvo 740 estate.

Where can these horns be purchased?, Do any of the auto retailers carry them ?, as i'd be interested in checking them out, I was thinking about getting a much louder horn for my Rodeo ute, as i am getting sick & tired of the roo's that i encounter on my way to and from work, i've hit 2 already which amounted to almost $7000 in damage.
