I got the official notice of practical completion for the new laundry! :D This means nothing unless you know that when I bought the car from Morphias I made a deal with the Hugs & Kisses that I would not touch the car until the laundry was finished. :oops:

So now I'm free to work on the car but first I need Brake lines, Battery cable and Fuel line and various rubber bits before I can put the subbies together and get the shell rolling. If it keeps raining I won't be forced to do painting and yard work and I'll make progress on the car.

Know how you feel Mokesta - I had to finish the chook shed - now with 5-8 eggs a day coming in I feel like a prisoner who's just been released from gaol - bet I'm only out on bail though

I finally got around to stripping the lamps and wiring out of the front of the wife's Clubby van.
Tomorrow, the RF guard and front panel both have a date with Mr Anglegrinder... :P
[edit] IF this rains stops (it's moored outside). :lol:

Cleaned up Nav's (Matt's) Subframe and gave it a lick of primer to cover my welds

Finished painting my dad's mower cutter deck, covering my welds

Waited for this rain to stop, so Cleaned the shed ready to cut the van up to start my trailer project by new yrs..

Looked at bluey and had a thought of taking her for a spin in the wet for some fun, but thought better of it, as i don't like to get her feet wet
:lol:

later tonight Off to bail out my dad's boat of water again in the broadwater..

Between the Christmas festivities have rebuilt and refitted the rear subframe....
First attempt at reaming went well - should be better next time... 8)
Will have to get my Brother-in-Law's Father to make a guide guide (aka 18G588a) for me...

So onto the real task.....
Pulled ALL the wiring out ready to start building up the rally car..
(and 45 years of dust straight and dead bugs in the face when opening up the headlining :x
- and the rear window rubbers just fell apart - so another task on the list - new seals )

Even pulled out the switch from the bottom of the Mk1 heater....
then realised wasn't one of the many unknown switches the PO had added :oops:
- so went to put it back... (How To guide great help)

Of course had to take off the side cover....
Very suspicious when no water ran out the heater core... :?

So 30 minutes flushing 45 years of silt out the core....
At first was totally blocked and no flow.... :shock:
Should have seen all the rusty gunk coming out when it did free up.... :o
Needed to mop the floors anyhow....

So rebuild heater also on the list..... heading out to buy some foam...
And it all started by buying a roof rack.... :roll:

Not much - torqued the upper and lower nuts securing the front hubs. Stared at the wiring behind the headlights and parkers working out how to rearrange to connect the orange LED flashers. Then the wife said we had to go shopping

Today I:
    Fitted a new alternator I got from Josh at Mini Imports to replace the old one which was giving me grief. Looks like all is now well in the charging department now;
    Got my hydro pumped up at Micks, got home and the left side was way to high, must have not liked being pumped up on a slope. Let some fluid out to even up the side, but Murphy intervened and you guessed it I let a little to much out... back to Mick's but I'll give it a while as he has his hands full with the Cooper re-engine;
    Went out to get the last items for the EFI conversion; had trouble getting Bundy tubing in anything less than 8M rolls. Got a pipe bender from Bursons, tested it out on some scrap tube, all it did was kink it, so back it will go for a refund tomorrow
    Configured my RS-232 serial to Bluetooth adapter and got working with my Megasquirt. Means I can log data to my Netbook without a serial cable, the less cables to distract me the better;

Stay tuned for the second installment of my EFI TBI project. I'm changing ISP's at the moment so I'm using my mobile phone to connect to the Internet and I have virtually used all of my data allowance up, so might not be posting for a while!

All the fluid must have run to the front of the car because of the slope :P

Can you drive it or do you need a mobile service?

Yeah, I opened the garage door and had to do a double take, it was something like 20mm higher at the L/F and obviously even higher at the L/R.

No car is drivable, but I let out about 5mm to much at L/F. I would like to bring over the spare SU bell chamber that I'm using for the 'Dummy' housing when I TBI, to get it included in Mick's bead blasting service. Just let us know when you have the time.

i painted door cards, replaced starter solonoid, pulled out the heater and did the neccesary plumbing, attacked the wiring in the dash, changing from clubbie three guage to original centre speedo. What a mission but nearly there.
