Its bad..

Oil pressure gauge has exploded taking with it the percentage of my wiring loom, the oil has filled the engine bay and destroyed my interior..

I just don't know what to do now..

Sorry to here dude. One of the worries I had with this, so went for electric gauges instead

The event I referred to earlier was actually the bellows in the gauge, it split.

From your pictures it looks like you have had a meltdown in your harness first, ( hence the initial smoke,) which in turn has melted the plastic oil line. Was the oil line wrapped up in the harness as it was going through the hole in the dash?
Probably a bit hard to tell ,but did it smell like burning plastic first, or an oil smell ?
Don't despair, it is all fixable, just a bit of work involved, one thing i would try and get hold of is a mini K, or cooper S oil pressure line, it will eliminate a mess inside the car if it were to happen again, which i very much doubt will happen.

You are completely correct.

One of the wires off my temp gauge cooked and took the oil line with it.

I'm not to stressed, bit disappointing though..

Is there an electric smiths oil pressure gauge?

Yes you can, there is a person on ebay that sells a lot of NOS Smiths Gauges that are electric. Looking at your damaged section of harness , i'm wondering how many other wires were damaged in the cook-up,you could be lucky to be able to replace just a couple of wires, but if too many of the wires have burnt insulation, i'd be looking at another harness.
