General query about fuel range. How far do you get out of your standard tank (how many liters is it) and what size is your engine.
Cheers

75 Leyland Clubman, 1380, 104 Cam, std head,Extractors HIF 44, 3.1:1 Diff gears and 12X inch tyres. I get 350 to a standard small tank Approx 16Km to the ltr. And that is not driving to conserve fuel.

1963 morris 850, A+series 1275, elec dizzy, HIF44 1" 3/4 carby, all standard.
Around 240km between fills (15-18L) or around 6-7L per 100km.
Doing a lot of town driving and some highway driving as well, most gear changes are around 5000+rpm so It's hard driving.

1966 Morris 1100. Stock motor with a single HS2 1-1/4" 35 litre fuel tank. Worn out motor.

Around 330 km per tank with city driving. (Well Goulburn is a city!) 28mpg (10L-100km)
Around 420 km per tank highway driving. 35mpg (8L-100km)

Morris 1100 (UK) 808 kg
Morris 1100 (UK) Traveller 825 kg
Morris 1100 & 1300 (UK) Auto 839 kg
Morris 1100 (Aust) 695 kg (I'd say this figure is incorrect - but don't shoot the messenger  probably meant to be 795 kg)
Morris 1100S (Aust) 839 kg
Morris 1100 S (Aust) Auto 864 kg

But the maximum roof load is only 45 kg

Which book has the wrong figure for the Australian 1100? My workshop manual does not give a weight for the aussie 1100 but all the others match your figures.

The handbook for the Australian 1100 gives 839kg for the 1100 and 1100S and 857kg for the 1100Auto.
I love the way that the workshop manual and the owners handbook usually contradict each other!

That's what I thought. I was flicking through the pages in the same sequence as you had written them down and when I got to the Australian 1100 my book has no listed weight.
So which book is older, the one with no figure or the one with the wrong figure? :?
