Fixed the snapped off connector for the rear of the clubman speedo and attached it. I did have a screw on one but the screw on speedo didn't work so I made a good 3 gauge binnacle out of two not so good binnacles. :D

Since I have very manly man hands I ended up removing the drive shaft to get at the speedo drive on the gearbox, but as the hole on the subframe isn't big enough to pull through a whole pot joint I decided to chase some ball bearings around for a while when they fell out.. All back together now and I stink like CV grease. Yummo... :wink:

Resources and Know how is probably available form our Adelaide AusMini clan, and cost wise i'm sure others can help find the bits you need at a good price.

Dont sell it, you'll regret it for years. I did.

Sorry, I find that rather a lame excuse. In your ad, you mention you were defected for:

* Wheels too wide
* Steering wheel not ADR compliant
* Windscreen washers not working

That would have to be the simplest of things to fix...

* Swap your wide wheels for narrower.. most people consider wider = more valuable
* Find a cheap s/h Mini steering wheel, undo one nut to change it over
* Ask someone for help with your washers if you can't figure that out.

That lot can cost you approximatley nothing to fix.

But thinking about it, if that's too much for you to fix you're better off selling it...

Our friends in NSW have to go through that every year...

What's that mean for us Easterners? Not having a go, just trying to help.

So does that mean you were driving a dangerous un-roadworthy car?

Ok. So they defected it for a few minor things, but because of that you now need to go over the Pits to get them cleared?

Bugger.

Dicko.

It surprises me (OK, maybe it doesn't) how many people see a compulsory road worthiness inspection as a bad thing...

If it would fail a Regency inspection in SA then frankly it shouldn't be on the road in the first place, defected or not.

Couldnt agree more. Cost me a few thousand to get mine roadworthy, and its better than causing a serious accident to yourself or others. Well worth it in the long run
