Hi,

I have a centre binnacle/black plastic 3 gauge dash to put in my mini like this:

Image

so its a MK2 one correct?

How do the speedo, oil pressure and water temp gauges attach in this dash? I have seen an exploded diagram of the MK1 binnacle http://www.somerfordmini.co.uk/eshop/index.php?main_page=page&id=124

whereby a white speedo bucket, plate cover support and little brackets hold the guages on, but has anyone a pic how the gauges look from behind on one of the Mk2 dashes like I have? What do I require to fit the dash and gauges in the dash and onto the car bar screws to the firewall?

Thanks.

Hi miggy, I just happen to have some dashes on the shelf so I took a couple of photos to show how it fits... (This binnacle is cut down to suit a different home made dash)

The speedo attaches to the binnacle with a screw in each side...

You can see where the screw attaches...

The temp and oil gauges poke through from the front and are held by these clamps...

They appear from time to time, but really you can buy some angle brackets from Bunnings or wherever that can be bent and drilled to suit. They will be hidden after all. If you want the real deal try a wanted advert on here.
