Here 'tis. Sadly a poor quality photo but it shows the damage.

I took quite a few photos of the race and will try to post them in the Event Photos if I get a chance tomorrow.

Ouch...I suggest probably a stone between caliper and rim...but that looks way more chronic like the hub or the caliper was moving around...yeah...poor Mamba

No, I think that your first suggestion was correct. Everything seemed to be solid. Maybe a bolt or wheelnut got jammed in there
