I am thinking about getting new extractors and exhaust and had some questions.

I have a clubbie van with a 1310 a plus motor in it.
I am thinking about getting myself a maniflow lcb. which one have people used and does anyone have a better suggestion?

I currently run a lukey muffler that is good but it is LOUD. It is two blocks away you can hear me coming loud. It also can get a bit droney/reverberating inside. It is a van so that is pretty common. What would you guys suggest for an exhaust and pipe and where to get it from?

Lastly for an NA 1310 what size exhaust would people run? 1 1/4? 1 1/2?

Go the 1 1/2inch option and a maniflow medium bore LCB as you mentioned. Keep the lukey and put in a straight through hot dog muffler just before the Lukey. This will cut out at least 60% of the noise and reverberation and ahngs quite high and close to the body so you don't scrape everything on the road.

I did this with my 2" straight through exhaust and it's a miracle how much more quiet it is compared to before. Make sure the hot dog is a straight through (you can see right through it, no blockages or restrictions.)

Your needle/jetting will need attention after the manifold change depeding on what you have now.

1. Good choice, medium bore (1-3/4") is your friend.

2. I like stainless because it doesn't rust, but some suggest it changes the exhaust note. No idea if that's true or not. Choose your extractors and muffler and take it to an exhaust shop, they'll make up the pipes for you.

3. As above, 1-3/4" for a standard to warm road 1310. If the budget allows, look no further than a single-box RC40 if you want a little volume, twin box if you want it hushed a bit more. In conjunction with the LCBs, you'll have the best Mini note you can get

Personally, I'm running a 15" long 1-3/4" hotdog solo on my car. I like it LOUD..

I would agree with all that, except the LOUD bit!

Weather to go single or twin box depends on your cam exhaust duration. If your Cam is about 265 - 270 degrees or more, I'd suggest the twin box, it'll take the 'bark' out of it

GT MOWOG, how would I know the Cam exhaust duration.
The cam was put in by the previous owner. and I am not sure what it is.
It is quite lumpy.

If you say that's it's quite 'lumpy' then it is likly that it does have a longer duration needing the twin box set up. You can alway go for a single box and if you don't like it add another in front.

you can get a maniflow, twin box RC40 with chrome tail pipe, exhaust pipe to link it together and a fitting kit from Karcraft for a very reasonable price

Twin box RC-40 will give you 1-2 more hp over the single box - dont know why - you just do!!

I have a lukey to-the-tip straight through muffler and maniflow 2 piece LCB and yes the droning can wear on your nerves - cant sneak home either!!

They have the second with a 2 inch end on it. I don't see what this will do? Is that just for looks?

I think the DTM's look good and could work ok on my van.

I think I would get the additional hotdog type setup but haven't looked at that on UK sites yet as it might be a bit unweildy to post to oz. Might ask when I call carkraft.

how were you planning to attach a center exit on a van(number plate in way) if that's what what you were thinking?. The hot dog apparently works by using an aerofoil design that speeds up exhaust flow & thus sucking the gasses away from the engine, hence why they are also directional. Believe 'fletcher' makes a specific stainless system for vans...
