What a massive journey! Glad to see you and the Brick eventually made it home safely.
I headed due south from Goulburn up over the Monaro High Plains through Cooma and Bombala to Cann River on the Vic Coast, hardly saw another car until Cann River and it was a very picturesque drive - especially watching a beautiful sunrise over the misty high plains (as well as watching out for 'roos and wombats)
Thanks for your friendly competition during the weekend Steve, we had some great runs together. :D

We did that run down to Cann River too, then back up the coast thru Eden, Batemans Bay etc while we were down. Great scenery. Re-lived some of my boyhood travels.
And yes thanks too for the great friendly competition, particularly the last run, with the KAD headed Cooper :D, really enjoyed that one even tho we were slower. She had too much pace down the straights and up the hill.

Pistons are Hypatecs, but with a Nippon ring set, not Hastings.

Why's that Doc? I thought the Hastings were OK?

:?

They are.
Because these particular 73mm pistons came out of GR's Elder 8 port 1360 dyno mule motor (~4 hrs run time), we fitted a new set of Nippons, as he has stock (for his RE pistons).

Pssssssst shoulda gorn Delegate to Orbost as well 8)

Is that road fully sealed and suitable for towing? It looks pretty twisty - I'm not too sure if it would save much time over the Cann River route which is a fairly easy climb/descent up over the highplains !

A tad twisty, fully sealed, for towing and you don't do it to save time but have a good time!! 8)
