ROO the Mini is in Australia...MGB is here at home: front crossmember has all the bits for reassembly. Then the rolling shell is off to my son's for minor welding (pop rivet holes), followed by two part primer and respray of the engine bay.

Have rebuilt the steering rack, dampers & calipers & hubs are rebuilt, new V8 coil springs, sway bar & bushings....

Photos later...MGB goes to new home before flight to Australia for 'One Lap' Adventure in ROO.

Took the little BRG car to "Malta" to have the electrics sorted, before fitting the engine. Are you reading this GR?

Had a look at the 850's brakes to determine why the pedal sunk to the floor last week, ahead of tommorrows club run. LH front wheel cylinder leaking. No run for me. And another unecesary expense due to mini sitting around and not getting out enough :x

Blue slip..All good but had to sand back the radiator shroud for numbers but ill clear coat that, Passed so I'm happy with that. Ran out of fuel and walked ten K's in the rain. Went RTA and they said my info on CTP info was not good enought so no plates for Marcia. So I changed the steering wheel, correct the geometry on the front end and changed my seat and took the so called missing panel of again

Location: North of the Harbour planning my next mini project
After becoming depressed by some of the dramas on ausmini over the past few days I decided to cheer myself up and spend most of the day in the garage working on the mini.
I am hoping my spray painter returns from holidays this week so I need to have the project body ready.
completed some small jobs to the body.
sand blasted and etched a spare set of bonnet hinges for use while the body is painted as I have had my set chromed.
sand blasted and etched the seat brackets
fitted some tabs to the boot for the 2nd fuel tank breather pipe.
plugged up some holes in the boot wall and etched.
fitted the Zeemax rear bumper and sanded in prep for painting.
re-pinned the drivers side door hinges and etch primed.
I feel better now.. :) :)

Nothing, but.....

I did visit a ausmini member and picked up a reco'd original steering wheel and a very kind offer of assistance when I start putting my mini back together. The steering wheel even got an approving glance from the missus.

Thank you Mark

I changed the inner uni joints for the good type. The old type were well and truly beyond repair. You should've seen the size of the breaker bar I had to use to get the diff output flange drive nut onto the next hole
