Hey all,
I am ordering some bits and pieces in from the UK and i am getting some door seals while i am at it. I need seals suitable for a Mini K. Can any one please confirm with the images below what is the most suitable for my car?

You're best off buying aussie door seals from karcraft or minisport SA or similar.
The british mk 3/4 won't be suitable, and though mk 1/2 sounds right the image doesn't.

As Harley suggests, I don't think those images are right either. The one in the MK 3 /4 would fit but why not buy locally?

Honestly, it comes down to cost. UK $13 (plus freight), Aus $50 - 60
I have already stretched the budget to the limit.

But our point is because UK seals may be different to aussie ones if you get them and they don't fit or seal then its a waste of money.

According to the above there are three different types of seal, you won't find the aussie ones in the UK.

Understood, thats just the info i was after. Looks like i will have to buy locally.

On another note, where would be the best place to source a new front windscreen?

I had my local windscreen do mine a couple of weeks ago, he said he could easily source one for me if I ever need it.
If you're buying your own try a windscreen supplier or nearest mini mechanic.
:D

Mk 1/2 above suits sliding windows.

I bought the other ones and the doors wouldn't close.

I have usually found the prices almost as variable as petrol & milk. I'd suggest doing the ring around. I think last one I had done, supply & fit was around $280 mark.

Does this apply to hood lining aswell?

Somone can jump in here if I'm wrong, but I don't think you'll find that UK headlining kits (other than 850 ones) will fit aussie cars. UK cars had bigger windows and doors, not by much, but if the headlining is pre-cut then it may not fit properly.

Easier to get one made here. I had a new one made for less than $150, thats the same or cheaper than a UK one plus postage anyway.
