Last time I checked the place we got the grease pumps were out of stock, but compared to the alternative hand-held grease pump (if you can't make the alternative pedal-box-master-cylinder solution) it's absolutely brilliant.

I made one using a brake master cylinder off a trailer brake set up it looks a bit rough but it works really well

I made one the same as the grease type shown here, the chrome fitting i bought from a tyre service, ( $35 ), they use them for putting water into tractor tyres.

I have not used mine as yet, so not sure how it will go, will try soon. I'm sure others on here have made the same. http://www.austinamericausa.com/

Still enjoying my grease pump made unit. The only problem I have had from the pump is the non-return ball valve at the bottom of the tank sometimes refuses to open on the uptake from all the pressure driving it into it's seat, but a light tap on the top is all it needs. Just a rap from a screwdriver is enough.

I drained the pressure just last week to alter the nose up-nose down trim on the hydro system. The nose drooped way too far so I tried a couple of washers under the knuckles on the front. Worked nicely!

I have the same problem with mine, it gets relatively little use these days and whenever I do I find the ball sticks as well. I just blow mine with compressed air and it works perfectly 8)

Try just a tap on the top next time, it's all it needs I think to get the recalcitrant little bugger moving..

But as D' Harry says 'gots to know you limitations'..
So with that, i certainly know mine.
Er..... can anyone who lives in Melbourne, loan/hire me a pump?

If i streeeeeeectched myself I'd probably make one but i really just need to get the car on the road so if anyone can help I'd be very thankful.

Wow,

Looks like the one I made with help from ausmini using a grease gun and $5 valve fitting but without the gauges!

Works a treat! :D
