That would be a "wooden load floor van" a kind of hybrid between a van and an estate, built for some export markets to get around purchase taxes. They are pretty unusual, even the poms don't seem to know about them. I've only ever seen one - in NZ. I didn't know they were built there.

The first time I saw one of them, I thought some sacrilege had been performed on a Traveller.

Jutdging by the dealer plate riveted on the sill in another thread, this van is a UK build. But it my have been to NZ on the way to Aus.

There's one on trademe in NZ at the moment.

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Cars/Austin/mini/auction-360831719.htm

There's also the usual range of elves, hornets, travellers ane early Mk1s. Someone needs to organise a way to ship cars cheaply from NZ.

Is there any chance of more photos, flapper?

Is it the one from 'Mintara'/'Mintaro'? I'm guessing it was outside like the rest of the Minis there? Poor Minis don't cope well with the weather :(

What engine numbers/prefixes did these model vans have?

Thanks, Evan.
