What seemed like a 'good idea' at the time, has resulted in yet another dead mini! Please people, think about your project before you embark upon it and ask yourself whether what you are doing is going to be what you or someone else will want in the future!

Bit like a "Train Wreck", ya just gotta have a closer look.
Battery in the engine bay? First time I've seen that.

Wow, I just looked at the build photo's.
Just needs a couple of hundred rivets, silver paint and hey presto instant B850 bomber.
I pity the person who buys this site unseen from ebay. They'll be a little shocked by the 200kg of concrete for a floorpan.
From the build pics was this a traveller or just a standard van.
Cheers Rob

I emailed the seller asking for detais of the 'interior mods':

Quote:
Hi, the Mini was used by Treo as a sterio speaker display car so to stop vubration from the subbies the underneath of the roof has been filled with fibreglass & the interior is a mixture of fibreglass, flooring board. the pedals hand brake steering column metal dash & I would suspect speedo are all still intact. As it has been built for max sound there is a lot of fibreglass & panelling to stop any vibration.

Notice how the concrete floor is still tiptoed around.
I emailed back suggesting he updates the listing. I'd be pretty pissed if I bought that, arranged a trailer and went to get it only to find out how much work it needs and that I need a stronger trailer!

It's easy to look at it and get angry, but it was probably built 10 or so years ago when Minis were worth nothing to buy.
Some of the bits can be salvaged, but not for the price he is asking!

  I don't think I'd even pay $10 for this. It looks like the Sydney harbour bridge with all those rivets and big ugly arse gate hinges
