I am finalizing my engine build and the time has come for a starter motor

I was going to drop the old one into the electrician so it could be reconditioned but thought I would just check out the price of a new one first.
I rang Karkraft and they have UK remanufactured motors for $90 :shock:

So I dropped by today and bought one plus a few other bits.

Very happy, I guess it reminds me to check local prices before going OS

These motors are pretty good, I've had one on my 1360 for years.

I think if I was after originality then I would reco the old motor, as I did for my Cooper S but this car is far from original :shock:

$90 is cheap Michael, i bought one the same from Karcraft a couple of years ago $145.
