Ladies and gents if I could.....

I have found a set of doors in Rockhampton. Need to get them to Bris. If anybody is heading toward Brisbane and they don't mind bringing down some additional laugage could they let me know. Doesn't have to be all the way to Brisbane. My Bro lives up the coast, he will drive up a bit and meet if you aren't coming all they way down.

Obviously I have tried couriers but they proving well...prohibitive.

I had to get a subframe from sydney at one time I found the couriers were very $$$$ but I also tried removalists and frieght companies if the person you are buying off can drop it off at a frieght company's depot and you can pick it up from the depot in Brisbane it can be reasonably cheap. I don't know how much care a frieght company would take to make sure your doors weren't damaged though :? maybe ask them what sort of packaging they recomend or something mine was a subframe so it was not a problem

Hope this helps :D

I have used Followmont in the past, for deliveries within Qld. Depot to depot is the way to go. If you can give them a volume measurement (eg how many m^3 the package is) and weight they should be able to give you a quote over the phone.

As was suggested though, I would be concerned about damage so make sure they are packed well.

EDIT: Sorry, forgot to comment on their pricing. I found it to be quite reasonable. I had some 4x4 tyres (eg, BIG) shipped from Bris to Tville and was pleasantly suprised with the price. Sorry can't remember how much it was though
