Hey all,
I'm Mick and have owned minis for about 14 years. Started with clubbys moved onto round noses and currently have a Jet Red / White Mk II S. Could never dream of going without a mini in my garage.
I spend a lot of time away with the Navy so I'm a bit patchy with my restoration activities.
Glad to have found the site, it's really quite good.

thanks

Mick

Long time listener, first time caller.
Ty is the name from the poorby suburb of Carole Park in Brissy. I'm 36, 192cm tall and weigh about 150kgs, triple A bust, almost a 'b' cup, can break a jaw with one punch.
My first car, against my wishes (it was bought for me) was a 1972 Clubman. The 1100 engine was on its way out so it was quickly replaced with a reconditioned 1330 long motor. So this powerhouse was still running the Clubbies original carb, a 1.25 inch. In the paper advertised was a set of twins for a Mini (found out later they were of a Mk1 Sprite 1 1/8 twins) whacked these on with a set of poorby extracters and felt the power of the darkside. I quickly joined the Mini car club of Qld and had heaps of fun, note to Meeni, I joined a club and did my hooning legally. Since then, 20 years ago, I have always had Minis in one shape or another. I currently have a group Nb race car, a Leyland S and a Deluxe.
I have all of the Mini magazines, books and manuels. I started collecting Cars and Car Conversions (pre runner to Mini World) 20 years back.
Got heaps of parts and I stupidly give most away to 'friends' when they need something.
I looooove to drink beer but when I'm really blotto the next day I can't remember a damn thing and get paraniod about what bad I have done. Too paraniod. People hate me for this.
Hate the Broncos, love the Roosters.
Take it or leave it it's me.
