9F/Sa/L engine prefix is a 997 Cooper number, not Mk1 1275S... They are 9F/Sa/Y.

Perhaps he was quoting the original engine number not the number for the loose engine?? It was advertised as a 997 Cooper. :?

Whoever bought that off ebay has taken it straight to Brisbane and flogged it.
It was for sale in Melbourne a couple of months back!

Original seller was Len Read who builds my race motors.

He sold it on Ebay for around that price as a 997 Cooper.

Not sure how it ended up in Brisbane!
