Yes I've noticed a difference, they are much better at low rpm as you get on the throttle, because the carb's mixture control is better.
Vizard's book indicates around 5% better flow from fitting stubstacks.
I have not done any before and after dyno testing, but both Vizard and GR say that stubstacks like these are worth having (if you have no room for trumpets). Any radius above 3mm will work- mine are now ~5mm rad.
