Ignore the aftermarket crap for SPI minis in this country. End of discussion. Not enough people doing it, its expensive, and most SPIs in this country are jap spec which has variances in the wiring system.

Basically it goes like this:
For reliability / good running, leave it stock.
When that gets boring, you'll get another 20% give or take power from them with exhaust, inlet filter, bigger valves, ported head, 1.5 rockers, and raised compression.

If you want more power again, bin the injection system and put a carby on there with a lumpy cam.

Oh wow holy crap, you mean for AU $1000 I can buy a computer that will give me a whole five more horsepower? Better upgrade them brakes! I can get that by taking the catalytic converter off, and that wont cost me anything.
$1000 of head work or exhaust system will give way better results.

Does the one i have linked not have more available tuning capabilities?!

The SC unit has limited adjustment from what it seems?

what the SC unit?!?

What real gain can be had from it?! I'm guessing it just allows use to actually use the modifications you make to the best ie, fit a new head then adjust, new exhaust then adjust etc...

Not much to be had by just the unit....

The simple truth to the original thread starter question is that the poeple / companies developing these programmable ECUs for injection minis have only started to do so in the last couple of years, short of a couple of overseas ausmini-ers (like say, KLAS), I'm unaware of any locals who have bitten the bullet and forked out for this sort of technology.
My SPI engine is being rebuilt currently, and I for one won't be bothering with aftermarket ECU crap as you get more power for dollar with good old fashioned headwork, and the factory computer is fine for all that stuff. There are people overseas getting 100hp from the stock management system, the computer map isn't the biggest problem, its the fuel delivery system, the little injector and the 90 degree inlet manifold.

I'm sure somone will get on here and say 'I gots me one of them and now I have a million horsepowers at the crank'. Thats great. Send me the dyno results and a pic of your cylinder head after 10,000 kays and if it's still good I'll shut up.

That is correct. That's the point of a programable ignition... You can download there software free to play.

If it was me I would be buying it, comes with the loom plug and play go get it tuned.

But it's a lot of cash. Good luck.
