Has anyone got a bare mini shell to fit on a 6x4 box trailer, planning on picking a shell up his weekend but i'm not sure if it will fit on/in my trailer, ive measured the floor and it should be a tight fit with the guards sicking over the edge, is this a problem? Any info would be great
Cheer matt

It will fit on with two bits of 4x2. It will not fit in the trailer.

You would mean like this?

Just make sure the 2 x pieces of 100 x 50 are securely tied to the trailer and then the body shell is tied tightly to the trailer

I've put my shell on my 6x4 to transport it to and from the media blaster.
It went on fine. I did not use any wood under it, maybe it's just my trailer, but it sat there nice. It sat on top of the sides, not on the floor. A couple of ratchet straps, job done.

A mini is 10 foot by 4ish foot or 3m by 1.4m if you have wide wheels and flairs it may need to be around 1.5m wide.

I am wrong! :oops:

I have received a PM that has advised that a mini will fit in a 6x4 trailer.......as long as the shell is upside down!

:wink:

Here's some of mine;
mini van without front cut.

another van

and a sedan

You'll see the sedan floor pan fits inside the top of the trailer to help locate it to prevent it moving around, the vans are a bit to long for this to work as well.

Just be mindful that in Vic it is now illegal to have anything overhanging a trailer. Red flag or not. I know.
I had a polite and informative conversation with an officer on the side of the road last year.
Good fella he was too, the oversize wasn't the only issue...... :lol:
