After doing a few Mini Car Club trips which were up to 200 miles travelling with not so much as a small problem, took the mini to get a pink slip for Club rego. The mechanic went to start the car to do the testing, and no go. Pigtail was so old (probably original as is the coil) that the wires had just fallen apart......

Tried to crimp a new wire but no good. Used a wire with alligator clips on each end to get it running perfectly for the inspection and getting home! Car stopped twice on the way so had to get out and re-adjust the clips.........felt like the old days with my first Cooper S.....never knew when you were going to conk out!

Darren from D&M at Brookvale is a legend! He restores old Falcons and so appreciates classic cars......and their little foibles.

So, need a new (or 2nd hand) pigtail for a 1970 Cooper S dizzy (29D?) and can't find any in any suppliers catalogues. Are they available new or need to source a used one?

Thanks in advance (no pun intended!)
