I know Karcraft's job is to sell products, but I felt that it was extremely poor service to tell me to "just call Graham Russell" when asking them a simple question about pistons. I thought I would relieve GR of another idiot pestering him, by calling KC, but obviously this wasn't such a great idea.
Why is it so hard to get good service these days?
I certainly won't be buying my several thousand dollar order locally, that's for sure.
Poor performance.

Well I certainly didn't think it'd get this much of a debate.
It was purely a knee-jerk reaction to "let some steam off".
And nah Matt, not on the payroll
(This is reminding me of all those Coke bottles with dudes' names on it, and everyone posting a pic to facebook of the name they have found - awesome FREE advertising for CocaCola;;; like they need it!!!)
So you bag a business in a public forum (and by association, ALL local businesses), many satisfied customers respond in support of the business, the business itself even responds to state its case. As it turns out, it appears that
you were seeking information on a product that they don't even sell and they referred you to the expert. Crazy, huh?
You defend your actions by saying you were just letting off steam, implying that you're actually doing them a favour by generating free advertising for the business?

Didn't GR build you an engine last year - surely you could contact him directly?
It sounds like you set the ball rolling on all of this with a personal mistake - time to take responsibility and make an equally public apology?
