Is there an exploded diagram that shows what the part numbers are? I have the Karcraft price list which includes the part number and a brief description but is there another reference that we can view to ensure we get the right part?

Part numbers are the original manufactures part numbers in most cases - if it was an original part and not a modification. - Then they have A..B.. etc to signify if original manufacturer or quality other or other source. I get the number from other sources and search their site for it. Also when searching you don't have to search a specific part - you can just search "brakes" and get all the items under the brake category and look for the description of the thing you want.

I know Karcraft's job is to sell products, but I felt that it was extremely poor service to tell me to "just call Graham Russell" when asking them a simple question about pistons. I thought I would relieve GR of another idiot pestering him, by calling KC, but obviously this wasn't such a great idea.

Why is it so hard to get good service these days?

I certainly won't be buying my several thousand dollar order locally, that's for sure.

Poor performance.

Well I certainly didn't think it'd get this much of a debate.
It was purely a knee-jerk reaction to "let some steam off".
And nah Matt, not on the payroll

(This is reminding me of all those Coke bottles with dudes' names on it, and everyone posting a pic to facebook of the name they have found - awesome FREE advertising for CocaCola;;; like they need it!!!)

So you bag a business in a public forum (and by association, ALL local businesses), many satisfied customers respond in support of the business, the business itself even responds to state its case. As it turns out, it appears that you were seeking information on a product that they don't even sell and they referred you to the expert. Crazy, huh?

You defend your actions by saying you were just letting off steam, implying that you're actually doing them a favour by generating free advertising for the business? Didn't GR build you an engine last year - surely you could contact him directly? :?

It sounds like you set the ball rolling on all of this with a personal mistake - time to take responsibility and make an equally public apology?

Yes GR built me an engine. Longer than a year ago.
In fact, the engine has been sitting at his workshop for near on (in November) TWO YEARS since it failed.
I have actually lost count of how many times I have spoken to him and given stories about how close it is to completion.
But that's a different matter.

And for my original call to Karcraft, I was trying to obtain some dimensions of 998cc pistons for an unrelated engine build.
Karcraft do stock pistons - surely not GR pistons as I was advised - but even before I had a chance to explain my situation I felt that the conversation had ended.

After the call to Karcraft, I spoke to Lindsay Seibler and Matt Read regarding my issue. And that's when I realised there isn't much that could save me, apart from using GR 1098 pistons.

Anything else you (or anyone else for that matter) need explaining?

And to clarify, this is is no dig at GR.

Or anyone for that matter.
As stated before, it was me letting some steam off, publicly, where maybe I shouldn't have.

I am just disappointed/depressed/upset with everything at the moment.
Sometimes it all gets too f'n hard. :?

It is Simple.

Your request for the size of Piston they did not provide so they Recommended and alternative source for your specific request. Thats good Business.
They must have known something as both Matt & Lindsay said the same thing
