Finally got both windscreen seals in, and then I realized i never put any sealant on the seal before fitting it. Still to tackle the chrome locking strip.

If seals are new you shouldn't need sealer. I've never needed it, there again I never re-use old seals. :wink:

Thinking of having a go at the head gasket on the moke cos dads to lazy. See its over 30 degrees out side and come to the conclusion that im lazy to lol

quiet day at work so a mate helped me use a trolley jack to lift her up while we tightened some exhaust joins

tried to replace the thermostat too, but for the life of me could not get the housing off!!

I don't remember ever replacing the thermostat and I've had this Mini since the early 90's - just thought it would be worthwhile doing and an easy job, but the housing is stuck on solid!

any tips?
