Ah i just typed a whole big long story about this car & i stuffed it up & it`s all diss-appeared now for some strange reason

anyways, long story short, we have the old log book for it now so it`s going back to the std issue mini sports sedan type build

that`s originally what i wanted to do with it anyways, but now we have the original CAMS log book for it , so it can be raced in the historic sports sedan category

My new 4x4 turbo bike engined space-frame special is being built by my good friend & top-quality fabricator (Dale) with the aid of some special computer stress testing analysis from another good friend (Janos)

Excellent work - good to see its going to be restored back to its former glory.

Is Janos using CosmoWorks (SolidWorks FEA tool)???

JC - any news on the engine search???

Yeah they aren't that much cheaper here. I'll just keep my ear to the ground to see if any deals pop up.

8 & a half thousand Quid is damn cheap i reckon

what`s that work out in Aussie dollars? about $14000, plus getting it here would be about $3K-ish yeah

so for $17K-ish you`d have something just a tad slower than my buggy :-)

pretty good price tho for what you get, not kidding, it`s hard to buy something that quick for less these days

Been looking at it for a while. Plenty there. I need to do some research on the other breeds of motor available (i only know the GSXR would work at this stage). I apprecaite the offer.

Bought this:

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/150702935826 ... 1423.l2649

and a tailshaft for an additional $125.

Brilliant work.

I think any big-bore bike engine would be ok, I would stick with the tried and true 4 cyl jap stuff though....GSXR; CBR; ZXR; YZF etc minimum 1000cc and EFI:

I'm looking into brake options. I would really love to stay inside a 10" wheel.

So this off the shelf solution should suffice...

http://www.minisport-usa.com/mini-spare-parts/Mini_Sport_7.5___Cooper_S_Alloy_Disc_Drive_Assembly.html

Assume I do need the CV's right? I mean the cv holds the disc on the hub right?

Thats a very similar system to what me and a mate figured out when he was going to buy a suzuki cappucino and put a hayabusa in it. Til he remembered he was 6'6 and 100kg.
